This, the third installment of this Batman cycle, oozes sexuality and sexual kinkiness. In my opinion that is. We have erect male nipples, a sexually suspect villain, bulging crotches, telling glances, unspoken attractions and dialogue that drips with holy homo-inferences. Val Kilmer gives a dangerously sexy take on the troubled good guy Bruce Wayne/Batman and his new partner-in-crime-solving, the hunky punky Robin (Chris O'Donnell), who delivers boy-toy cuteness with top-man cockiness. The two seem to be constantly checking each other out with their eyes and taunting each other with their tongues. Master Dick asks his new Daddy, "Been to many biker bars, Bruce?" and when Robin dons his tight-fitting outfit and proves that he is, indeed, a Boy Wonder, Batman checks out his physique and more than ample crotch, and says, "Go to the same tailor?" And what a dilemma for Batman when in the grand finale, he must decide on saving the life of his female love (Nicole Kidman) or his young, barely broken-in sidekick. What's a sexually confused superhero to do? And while I am (over)interpreting, what was happening with the rather queeny and overly-touchy Riddler (Jim Carrey) and his butch partner-in-crime, Two-Face Harvey Dent (Tommy Lee Jones)? Was the Riddler a gay man spurned and now bent on criminal revenge? Or is he just another brainy, overly dressed fag with a chip on his shoulder? Who said comic book action flicks were for kids?
