Review

Sweet-natured and pure of spirit, Arizona Sky is the romantic story of two high school buddies who reconnect with desire in their hearts. As the film opens, Kyle and Jake are getting together for what appears to be a regular night of "sleeping out" in the desert. The pangs, ache and longing of first love are evident in these two beautiful young men. They eat some supper and then curl up on blankets for an evening of necking in the back of Kyle’s old pickup truck. But it seems that this idyll is about to end as Jake is set to move with his dad to the big city. Fast forward 18 years and Jake is now a movie producer with an over-stressed, loveless existence. After a particularly harsh panic attack, Jake’s best friend urges him to take a break and vacation for the first time in years. It’s back to Arizona where, just maybe, Kyle’s still living. The two now-grown men reconnect and the spark is still there. Kyle is in the closet with his gay desires, but all of his feelings spill to the surface as he and his old friend get to know each other better. With a micro-budget and a nice story to tell, Jeff London’s film will appeal to all of you closet romantics.

Bad acting, slow pace sink movie

I guess I can't trust a few very positive reviews. The movie started slow with the introduction of the characters as teens, but that was OK. I thought the pace would pick up. But, it didn't. On top of that, the acting of the ones playing the adult leads was worse. The story line itself was fine, but the bad acting ruined it. (One star)

nice story line. the acting was thoroughly tiresome though. yawned through much of it, and looked forward to the end. Fortunately, i had a hot guy to cuddle with through it...

This was the worst movie I have ever seen. Loosely based on the feel of Brokeback Mountain, some of the lines are almost exactly the same. The acting was worse than my first grade rendition of Three Blind Mice. The sets were pathetic, I can't think of anything to compliment in this 91 minutes of torture. I have always been of the opinion that if you don't like something, shut up and change the channel. This movie was a complete waste of $3.99, I would have rather had a gallon of gas. I wish one review had been placed on how bad this really was.

You know, I actually REALLY loved this movie! Its a bit slow, and VERY casual. But that's its charm! I found it quite refreshing to see a gay movie that wasn't full of slick production #s and flawlessly pretty guys! Not that there's anything wrong with that - they have there place, but this was a very real - could be me - kind of movie! I would give up the job i have now and move just about anywhere for true LOVE! And I can think of at least 3 guys from my school days that could get me to do just that! And yes I cried at the end of the movie! And yes the homophobic cousin was "TYPICAL" but isn't that also REAL???!!! Not to mention TOTALLY hot! OK - that's another movie! Anyway - To me that's what keeps this movie grounded as it could and DOES really happen like this! But normally it DOESN'T have the happy ending and its about time, we the GAY viewing community, gets just that - a HAPPY ending! Look out Arizona - here I come! :~)

This is a story of unrequited love, that was lost and after many years found and united! This is a film of two lives torn asunder by circumstance and time. What is truly remarkable is how this true love, emotional love, never died! This will bring out the water works(tears) but in a truly magnificant way.It has a real lesson to all of us: 'Once you have found him, Build your life around him, Never, ever let him go!' The words from this song speak volumes of this movie! "THE PATH OF TRUE LOVE IS NEVER EASY!" NJMJr!
