Jay Diers was born in the American Midwest and has been working as a freelance photographer and graphic artist for 14 years. His images of raw beauty have graced the pages of various magazines, for example Blue. Jay really enjoys capturing these tall lanky farm boys from Iowa. This is his second book of photography after his wildly successful Raw Youth.
Jay Diers is a naughty boy! It’s no wonder we respond to his work the way we do. In his latest volume Diers continues in the tradition of Raw Youth with a collection of images intent on arousing. The beauty of this book is the atmosphere created by placing the models in run-down motel rooms with dingy bathrooms and scratchy sheets. None of the men are professional models but instead we are treated to real Midwestern stunners. Some of them have beautifully toned bodies while others are incredibly lithe.
With the blatant sexuality of cum shots and a few sensual couplings you might expect to feel a bit perverse spying on these men. Diers is too clever for that though and creates scenarios where the viewer is invited to watch. By using exhibitionists who are clearly as aroused by being watched as we are by watching it goes beyond just looking at a beautiful man pleasuring his self. The images transport you to the moment with dirty light prying its way through heavy curtains to reveal half empty bottles of baby oil, unmade beds and the incredibly sexy young men who have been engaging in un-shameful debauchery.
When it comes to grungy eroticism this collection is a more than apt addition to his splendid body of work. Very highly recommended.
