Review

From its electrifying opening sequence—in which an enraged bald–headed prostitute (Constance Towers) beats a man senseless with a telephone—through its exposé of corruption and vice in "Small Town, USA", this torrid melodrama never lets up. Towers is Kelly, a hip–swinging, eye–flirting floozy who "escapes" to a bucolic backwater town to begin life anew as a nurse to handicapped children. But an unforgiving and hypocritical society hounds her and just won't let a bad girl go good. Fuller fans won't be able to supress a smile throughout this deliciously enjoyable cult potboiler.
