Review

One of the most popular of the '70s blaxploitation flicks, this gritty, misogynous actioner is the story of Goldie, a likable but sleazy ex-convict who aspires and attains his lofty goal of being a superpimp -- "the meanest 'mack' in town." With an envious stable of fine 'hos, plenty of muscle and a cutthroat business attitude, our hero soon discovers that pimping's profitable but, "what gains a man to win the world and lose his own soul."
