Roberta Findlay began her career as a porn star appearing in her husband Michael’s rough trade pictures getting used and abused before she got behind the camera with him to churn out some truly disturbing filth, both in hardcore and in exploitation. She co-directed (and costars in) Snuff which, along with a scene of fake snuff footage, tells the story of a gang of ruthless bikers in South America and has loads of female nudity. She also helmed the ultraviolent Tenement: Game of Survival and the gruesome Blood Sisters. Whether she’s behind the camera or in front of it, Ms. Findlay always knows how to tap into her audience’s most evil psychosexual lusts.
