A young woman takes a writing sabbatical to the country where she is brutally raped and beaten and left for dead. But she survives and exacts bloody revenge. This low–budget exploiter manages to create quite a few suspenseful moments in between scenes of gratuitous violence.

This charming tale, set in the South, is about a young, elegant, northern lady who heads to the countryside for some rest and relaxation... bullshit. Here is the smackdown folks:

Hot babe goes out to the back–country, gets out to pump some gas, gets looked over by the inbred posse (as she stretches her fine–ass legs), heads off to her cozy little cabin, goes for a nice little boat ride, falls asleep, and drifts off into Cornhole Country. When she wakes up, she goes for a stroll in the woods and happens upon members of the above referenced inbred posse. Penetration and other nasty acts occur. Left for the alligators our lady makes it to her feet and heads off trying to find her way back home, but guess what? She runs into her friends once again, this time by a scenic rock. Can you guess what happens next? Sloppy seconds for everyone. Now near death, she finally wanders home in the middle of the night, only to open her door to... hold it... can ya guess? BOO YAH another round of stuff the taco with the inbred posse.

Whew! I'm tired, are you? Anyway, after all this our lady takes some time to heal and get her head straight, and then it's payback time—city style. Watch as each of the inbred posse is hacked apart in each of their justly deserving ways. Our favorite scene occurs in a bathtub with the line "That feels so good, it hurts." Hell yeah. Just like watching this movie.

I Spit on Your Grave contains some truly decent gore scenes, and the film can also double as low quality porn (something that horror should do anyway). A great revenge flick that is arguably a masterpiece, I Spit on Your Grave is classic exploitation and gut–wrenching horror.

When the greasy Rick Stanko offered me a perfectly packaged, never spanked to, copy of I Spit on Your Grave, I did what any upstanding citizen would do… I promptly declined his offer, and with gusto to boot. Thirty seconds later I mumbled “alright, give it to me” and stuffed it in my bag like a small furtive animal. Because I remembered, albeit undercover, I am a depraved piece of shit, just like you.

Ahhhhhh, the country circa 1978…. Just sublime, I tell ya! They gots them quaint back roads, quiet woodsy-like cottages, and a tank of gas would only run you roundabout $5.20. Seems like the perfect place to relax for the summer, right? WRONG! Cause you know what else they got on them quiet inbred ass back roads? RAPE. That’s right, rape on top of rape sprinkled with a bit more rape. But while the lovely young Camille Keaton may have found herself in the unfortunate predicament of being brutally raped, on three separate occasions in one day, once by one of them retards you see on the bus sometimes, you shouldn't fret for her, because the only thing more brutal than the rape in the sticks, is the revenge.

After the torture is over, beaten, covered in blood, shame, and the seeds of the south, the lovely Camille preps for the post rape rage. Luring the hicks in with promises of free access to her sweet sacks, she slowly hunts them. Especially satisfying is the scene in which our insane heroine chases down her prey in a speed boat, yielding an ax.

Featuring equal parts gratuitous nudity, blood, dirt, and screams, the classic rape-revenge tale, I Spit on Your Grave is all you could possibly ask for in a film. However, I’m gonna be frank with you here, while watching this movie, I didn’t quite want to fap…. I mostly wanted to have a ho-down, or a white trash picnic, or hog roast or some shit. This soundtrack is fucking GOLD!
