A metaphysical romance/thriller/comedy, Ghost is a guaranteed crowd-pleaser filled with supernatural intrigue and lots of laughs. Swayze and Moore star as Sam and Molly, a yuppie couple whose picture-perfect romance is broken up when Sam is suddenly dispatched to the other side. As he becomes stuck between dimensions, Sam's spirit roams the streets of Manhattan in search of answers. Goldberg's Oscar-winning performance as Oda Mae Brown, a storefront spiritual advisor who becomes Swayze's relunctant link to the world of the living, is hilarious. Director Zucker moves the action along at a lively pace and makes the most of Goldberg's enormous comedic talents. Aside from a simplistic version of life in the hereafter, the film has few flaws and will leave even the most skeptical viewer smiling.
