In this spectacularly entertaining and frightening horror sequel, director Raimi accomplishes the near-impossible: he tops his terrific original. Campbell returns once again to battle the demonic spirits at that secluded cabin in the woods. There's a lot more humor here, and the special effects are sensational. Campbell gives an over-the-top performance which helps immensely in the enjoyment of this outrageously original chiller. (Sequel: Army of Darkness)
