Review

I like to try new lubes because not every lube is the same, not by a long shot. Some are smoother than others, some last longer, etc. Silicone lube is no exception so trying Blk Lbl was a must. Most of the time I get to try water-based so getting a silicone based lube was a treat.

It comes in a small cylinder shaped black bottle which looks more like cologne than lube. The bottle is plastic wrapped and the wrap is perforated well so "unzipping" it was easy. the cap is screw off. This is a feature I do not like. I think a secure flip top or push cap would have been the way to go but that's just me.

The ingredients are clearly printed on the side of the bottle as is where it's actually made (Germany). When I think Germany, I think fine German engineering so of course I thought "this has to be good stuff."

My partner thought it wouldn't last long because it's inexpensive. However, it did last a full round of intense play without re-application. It is silky smooth, has no taste and no odor which is great because I want my partner's flavor not manufactured stuff flavor. This was great with our non-silicone toys as well and since it’s silicone-based it is latex condom safe.

I guess at some point we knocked over the bottle because when I went back later to put everything away some lube had dripped from the bottle onto the night stand. As with all silicone lube clean-up can be tough so a simple wipe up wasn't happening: soap and water.

I do think a better designed bottle all around would make this a perfect lube. It is silicone but it's reasonably priced and that in combination with the reason people use personal lube (it lasts!) is why I'm keeping this in my night stand.
