If the Cahiers du Cinema were to apply the auteur theory to porno, Bella’s Perversions 2 would be a good candidate. She directs, she stars in each scene, and she is apparently the catalyst too. In the first 30-minute scene, she throws a slumber party. Boo, a tallish raven-haired lass dressed as a bunny; Holly Hollywood, a white trash fake blonde, and California tanned Avey Scott join Bella in bed, and Bella is already hot and wet. They dive right into each other, with many various energetic couplings. Just a few minutes in, a giant black dildo is whipped out – the first sign that this isn’t going to be weak, lovey-dovey lesbian porn. Too much happens in this scene to do a play by play, but some things must be noted. Holly does her best imitation of Lassie from Porky’s, with some distracting howlers of orgasms, though she does seem to get off a squirter in there. Bella has a tremendous skill of getting her tongue deep inside an ass, though unfortunately this skill is used primarily on the howling Holly (who causes the microphones to overmodulate harshly). Holly and Bella join up for a dildo ass-to-ass, with plenty of extra hands available to play with their coochies – definitely high-energy. Bella whips out a big rubber cross between anal beads and a whip – very frightening. She deepthroats it, and then gets most of it up in her ass. More circus stunt than sexy, but quite a feat nonetheless – especially when they seem to have trouble getting it back out. There is also some mild chokeplay, strap-on banging (where Boo demonstrates her deep-throating skills), and cunnilingis, sometimes all in the same frame. In all, if there’s something you don’t like, just wait a few seconds and something else will start up. Good stuff.

Sans bunny tail, Boo returns in a scenario as a client visited by substitute masseuse Bella. Boo’s obligatory hemming and hawing is silenced after a few seconds when Bella rather unprofessionally starts stroking Boo’s anus. Clothes are dispatched, and we quickly get to some oral massage. Why bother with the setup if it’s going to be abandoned so quickly? There is also a problem of familiarity, as we just saw these two go at it with more kink and more eye candy a few minutes earlier. Some isolated choking, which I don’t understand personally, and a smallish spade-shaped buttplug thingy (mostly used vaginally) enter the play to minor effect. For something interesting, fast forward about 15 minutes, when Bella whips out a giant scary rubber fist (also available for sale on our website). Bella manages to get it all in her mouth, and then most of it up her flexible cooter. Again, not necessarily sexy, but brava nonetheless. And check out that giant ring on Boo’s finger. I’ve never seen one of those outside some grandmother’s musty jewelry box.

Bella plays personal trainer in the gym for streaky-blonde Britney Foster and redheaded Malorie Marks. A pocket rocket is broken out along with a 5-inch plug, providing for some 3-way play that manages to be both tender and a little rough & nasty. That’s a fine line to walk, which seems to be achieved through mutual respect and consent – nay, eagerness. The O’s aren’t convincing, but they do seem to be having a lot of fun with each other (for this scene as well as the entire DVD), something that’s hard to fake over the course of a half-hour (edited down from god-knows-how-long). Sneaker pimps should get a kick out Bella’s Nikes, which she keeps on throughout the scene. An intimidating blue studded dildo, looking like some lost Sid & Marty Krofft sea creature, also makes an appearance. Points off for Britney’s off-center spinal tattoo, but bonus points for Malorie’s adorable little belly.

Not to be confused with Boo, who only dressed up like a bunny, is Bunny, who is dressed up like a horny woman in a bathtub. She’s a finely proportioned mammal with reddish hair who starts out by shaving Bella down there – add yet another keyword to the list! Bella returns the foamy favor, though it really looks like Bunny doesn’t need it. The scene takes place in a nice hot tub ($5,000 on Price Is Right last time I checked), and they have fun splashing, licking and prodding right at the water line. There’s nothing here that wasn’t in the previous scenes (oral, fingering, and mostly the same toys) – but the change of locale is welcome, and Bunny is arguably a step up from the previous girls. At one point there is a weird angle where Bunny looks like she has two openings in her anus, which is something I’d like to look into. A hot scene, and maybe the one to watch first.

Bella meets the very sexy (and unpronounceable) Juna Oujeska in the final scene. She’s a gorgeous blonde, if a bit distant, but that’s not important right now. For this scene contains, yes, roller-skating girls! It’s obviously fetish for fetish’s sake, since the two can’t keep their balance at all – after some very brief outdoor footage, they are safely reclined on the couch, doing what naughty girls do. There’s plenty of natural light in the scene as well, a nice touch, and most importantly, those skates never come off. It’s gotta be quite a workout to have your legs balanced over your head with those heavy, old-school rollerskates up there, but these gals are up to the task, bless them. At one point, Bella goes impossibly deep-throat with a double-ended dildo, throwing Juna off and making her laugh. I guess a double-throat would have been interesting, but a candid moment like that is even rarer. Bella also gets involved with some deep anal play, with Juna a competent ass-istant.

DVD quality isn’t great, as most of the still frames are quite blurry. The typical hardcore trailers are added, as well as a fetish menu that can help you locate the kinkier stuff (but when did “kissing” become a fetish?). There are also 20 minutes of candid B-roll footage, including some shower scenes.

Bella’s not for every taste. Her gap-toothed smile isn’t becoming, she’s got more tattoos than Robert De Niro in Cape Fear, and she shows little personality beyond horniness. But her energy, enthusiasm and flexibility can be infectious, making it easy to see why she has such a fervent cult following. A good value at 140 variety-packed minutes, this is a fine DVD for her fans, as well as those curious about the rougher side of girl-girl porn.
