Mitchell Crawford always wished, hoped, dreamed, and prayed for a Ruffneck--a hip-hop-lovin', cool posin', street-struttin', crazy crotch-grabbin' brotha. And he finally finds one in Raheim Rivers, who is a vision of lust: six feet tall and 215 pounds of mocha-chocolate muscle. Mitchell knows Raheim will take him for a walk on the wild side, especially between the sheets. But he doesn't count on getting behind Raheim's mask--and finding someone he can love.
"A lusty, freewheeling first novel.... Hardy has the makings of a formidable talent."
--Kirkus Reviews
"Hardy reveals much about what happens when two cultures meet and more about diversity than you get from most diversity workshops. This feels like a masterpiece of both black and gay literatures."
--Booklist
"Fast and saucy...B-Boy Blues presents a reality you won't find on In Living Color, and it's one that's a whole lot funnier."
--In Newsweekly

Ripster wrote on 10/01/2007:
I admit it, I am a sucker for a good love story. I have read so everything from Gone with the Wind to the Brdiges of Madison County but never, and I mean never, have I read a book that I actually could not put down. And when I got too tired to keep reading, I picked it right back up first chance I could. The story is touching, dramatic, urban, foolish, heartbreaking, soul lifting and above all, REAL!!. Have you ever read something and said, I know these poeple or this person, this situation. Well, with this book, if you are a gay black man, a black man, a black woman you will see someone and yourself here. If you are a human being , you will see yourself here. If you have ever loved the impossible person, you know the captain of the football team, the head cheerleader in school, the really beautiful girl or the really cool guy and hoped, prayed that they would just notice you once, you will see yourself in this book. In short, great read and a great time, thanks for the ride and the trip down memory lane.
