Review

Just when you thought it was safe to go fight for your country, another military-themed gay adult film hits the street. Since about 500 films with this particular theme have come out in the past week, I guess I don’t have to delve too deep into the details. It’s the usual: lispy-voiced ladyboys and beefy butchies in military drag comically bark out commands and invade ach other’s anal territory.

The film's main problem (aside from the hackneyed theme) is that the actors’ performances tend to be somewhat lackluster. I mean, hell guys - you could be hawking Happy Meals or sitting in a veal-fattening pen at a soul-deadening corporation pushing a pencil. Instead, you’re getting paid to nail each other in the junk box. Look alive, soldiers!

Even Stonie, who gets star billing in the film, looks like he’s being forced to watch C-Span as he’s getting down and dirty with Sands. However, he does perk up somewhat while chomping on Slade’s girthy wiener. In addition to Slade’s jumbo pecker, size queens will get a rise out of Scott’s fearsome fuckstick, which is roughly the same length as the common coral snake. All in all, the privates on these privates are nothing to scoff at.

The action between these saucy soldiers is all by the book - don’t expect anything besides the traditional oral/anal. The camerawork is also above par, and manages to keep things interesting, despite the wavering interest level of the actors themselves. Though it certainly has its moments, Active Duty would have definitely benefited from a little more action and a little less duty.
